Location: Thornton Heath, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Do you have experience supporting children with sensory and physical needs?
A highly regarded SEN school in Thornton Heath is looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with physical disabilities and sensory processing needs.

The Role:

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure pupils can fully access learning and daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pupils with mobility, positioning, and personal care (training provided).
• Use sensory-based learning techniques to engage students.
• Support students with physiotherapy and occupational therapy exercises.
• Help implement individual learning and care plans.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for children with complex physical needs.

About You:

• Experience supporting pupils with physical disabilities or sensory processing needs is desirable.
• A caring and patient approach, with a willingness to assist with personal care.
• Ability to work closely with therapists, teachers, and families.
• A proactive attitude to learning new skills and techniques.
