Ortus Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in Streatham, who are seeking a qualified SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SEN Teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference to pupils with additional needs. The role has strong potential to move from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Teaching pupils with special educational needs in either a mainstream primary or specialist setting
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning needs
• Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and parents to ensure pupil progress
• Creating a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Once all vetting checks are completed, shortlisted candidates will be invited in for an immediate trial day. Lesson plans for the trial will be prepared in advance, allowing you to focus on delivery and engagement.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Proven experience teaching in a mainstream primary school and/or specialist SEN setting
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A proactive, reflective, and child-centred approach to teaching
