Ortus Recruitment isworking closely with a two-form entry Hounslow based primary school who are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work across KS2.

They require someone to provide support to children struggling within the mainstream classes within small groups. This school has an outstanding Ofsted rating and is one of the leading schools in improvement in SEN children across London.

The successful Teaching Assistant will take small groups of children out of the mainstream KS2 classes to support their learning difficulties such as ASC, behavioural difficulties and dyslexia.

Tailoring the material and approach for each individual student is an essential part of this role and crucial for the academic and social advancement of the pupils. You will be supported with an expert SENCO with fantastic resources and expertise for supporting SEN.

Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally within a primary school, is essential and you should be able to demonstrate the following skills and characteristics:

• Proactive, reliable and committed
• Clear, precise and organised
• Strong academic background with high levels of maths and English
• A proven track record supporting students in KS2
• Experience supporting SEN pupils
• The ability to manage small groups with directed interventions
• Strong behaviour management skills
