SEN Teaching Assistant
The team at Ortus Recruitment work in collaboration with Primary/SEN schools and bring them together with individuals looking for opportunities in the education sector. We are dedicated to providing specialised and ongoing support to educators looking for full-time and long-term roles within schools in their local area. We work with a number of schools, all rated ‘Good‘ or ‘Outstanding‘ by Ofsted, with supportive senior leadership teams and opportunities for further career progression. We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant who can support SEN children in KS1 and KS2.
Role: Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
– Provide support and assistance to individuals with Special Educational Needs such as ASC or ADHD
– Assist in the implementation of educational and behavioural programs for individuals with SEN
– Help create a safe and inclusive environment for all students
– Support students in daily activities, lessons and routines
– Foster social interaction and communication skills development
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent care and support
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
– Experience working with children in a classroom setting
– Knowledge of SEN principles and practices
– Ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals with SEN
– Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with SEN students
– Strong organizational skills to assist in planning and implementing programs
