The Job Summary

- Pay: £90 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
- Location: Southwark, Bermondsey
- Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)
Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking someone who has experience supporting SEN Learners in a care, residential, school or social (coaching, nannying, tutoring). The school is Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and they provide a diverse and inclusive style of teaching to pupils, this is shown in their fantastic academic results. The school is located in the London borough of Southwark, Bermondsey.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references
- Applicants must have a Clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
What we’re looking for:
- Someone who has experience supporting SEN learners and/or vulnerable adults/young people in a care, residential, school or social setting
- Someone who has a strong academic background, must hold a minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math
- Someone who is passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to aiding their overall development
- Someone who is able to come in and hit the ground running, building positive rapports with both staff and pupils
- Someone with a ‘Can do’ attitude
- Someone who can commit to full time, long term work
The main responsibilities in this role are to work alongside the Class Teacher, working 1:1 with a pupil in Year 2. You will be required to liaise with the Class Teacher and ensure that the work is differentiated and suits the individual learners needs. You will be required to follow a individual timetable which includes sensory and enrichment activities to incentivise a good attitude to learning.
