SEN Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, ensuring they receive tailored support that fosters both academic achievement and personal growth.
- Assist teachers in creating and maintaining a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
- Implement effective strategies to support students’ individual needs, contributing to their overall well-being and success.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support during lessons, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other key skills.
- Help monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback to teachers and collaborating in the planning of future lessons.
Candidate Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary or secondary school setting.
- A strong knowledge of SEN conditions and a thorough understanding of effective support strategies for students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the educational journey of students with special educational needs.
- A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students’ individual learning paths.
