Job Advert: SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support for Year 1 Child with Autism
Location: Primary School, Ealing Broadway

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to work 1:1 with a child in Year 1 who has autism. You will play a key role in supporting their academic, social, and emotional development while ensuring they feel safe and confident in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to meet the child’s specific needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement the child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Use a range of strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Foster the child’s social interaction and communication skills.
- Monitor and record progress, sharing updates with the school team and parents.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN).
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Can adapt strategies to suit individual learning styles.
- Is an excellent communicator and a team player.
- Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) – desirable but not essential.
