Ortus Recruitment is pleased to partner with a fantastic primary school in the London Borough of Wandsworth, which is seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their SEN team. This is a long-term, full-time role starting after February Half-Term, with the potential to continue through the academic year.

The successful candidate will work closely with children in KS1 who have mild additional needs, supporting their learning and development in both individual and small group settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to contribute to the education of children with SEN in a mainstream school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to children with mild SEN needs in KS1.
• Work alongside the class teacher to adapt lesson plans and deliver interventions that meet the specific learning requirements of each child.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Help develop and implement strategies to support the academic and emotional progress of children with additional needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year of previous experience working with primary-aged children with SEN.
• Confidence in delivering support and interventions that contribute to the progress and development of children with additional learning needs.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to working with teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
