Location: Primary School in Barnet
Job Type: Full-time, Long-Term
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. You will be working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support children with additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
-Implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
-Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
-Encouraging and supporting children’s social and emotional development
-Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
Requirements:
-Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable)
-A patient, nurturing, and proactive attitude
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
-Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) – preferred but not essential
