Ortus Recruitment are currently supporting a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in the vibrant area of Putney, who are looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or HLTA to join their dedicated team immediately. This is a rewarding, long-term opportunity to work closely with pupils who have EHCPs, providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to help them engage with learning and achieve their full potential.

Role Overview:

• Adapt learning resources and approaches to meet individual needs
• Deliver focused support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN), both 1:1 and in small groups
• Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCo to implement targeted interventions
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing
• Track progress and liaise with parents and external professionals where necessary

What We’re Looking For:

• HLTA qualification or solid SEN TA experience within a primary setting
• Good understanding of autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, and other areas of SEN
• Patient, flexible, and enthusiastic, with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Available immediately and looking for a long-term placement
