SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 3) – September Start – Hampstead Primary School

Full-Time | Term-Time Only

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of Hampstead seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a split-role, working with two children in Year 3 with ASD:

Morning: 1:1 support for a child with challenging behaviour and significant communication needs.
Afternoon: 1:1 support for a second child with ASD, focusing on engagement and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to each child based on their individual EHCPs
• Support communication development using appropriate strategies and tools
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with ASD, ideally in a school setting
• Strong understanding of communication development and behaviour management techniques
• A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach
• A genuine passion for supporting SEN pupils
