Ortus Recruitment is working with an OUTSTANDING Ofsted-rated partnered mainstream primary school in Crystal Palace, who are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN team from September 2025. This is a long-term, full-time position, with the opportunity to go temp-to-perm, for the right candidate. The school is passionate about inclusion and creating a supportive learning environment where all pupils can succeed. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs, enabling them to access learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Details:

• Location: Crystal Palace, South East London
• Start Date: September 2025
• Trial Dates: Immediate trials available – applicants must have no notice period
• Pay: £90 – £105 per day
• Contract Type: Full-time | Term-time | Temp-to-Perm

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs
• Implement personalised learning strategies and behaviour support plans
• Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and social interaction
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have proven experience supporting children or young people with SEN (Autism, ADHD, MLD, SEMH etc.)
• Be patient, calm, and adaptable in approach
• Be confident in using positive behaviour strategies and promoting engagement
• Be a team player, committed to making a positive impact on children’s development
