Ortus Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN primary school based in Streatham that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

This specialist setting supports pupils with:

• Severe Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
• Complex needs

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities
• Support pupils with personal care where required
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting children who require additional help to achieve their full potential.

Requirements

• Experience within a primary school or SEN setting is essential
• A background in care is highly desirable (not essential)
• Must be willing to carry out personal care
• Available full-time (Monday to Friday)
• Available to trial immediately
• No notice period
