SEN Teaching Assistant – White City

Location: White City, West London
Salary: £90–£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time | Long-term | Immediate start available

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in White City. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

The Role

You will be working closely with pupils who have additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning delays. The role may involve 1:1 support or working with small groups under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with EHCPs
• Implement behaviour support strategies and structured routines
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
• Assist with speech and language or targeted interventions
• Promote independence while maintaining clear boundaries
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or care background)
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships quickly
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures
