SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Acton
Pay Rate: £90–£105 per day
Contract: Full-time | Term Time Only

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Acton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.

The Role
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with Special Educational Needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH. The position may involve 1:1 support or working with small intervention groups, helping pupils access learning in a structured, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum in line with EHCP targets
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
  • Implement behaviour support strategies consistently
  • Provide emotional regulation and pastoral support
  • Promote independence and positive social interaction
  • Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based experience desirable)
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential
