SEN Teaching Assistant Required – Make a Real Difference
A dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant is required to support two children with additional needs within a welcoming and supportive school environment.
About the Role:
This rewarding position involves working closely with:
- A Year 3 pupil with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Global Developmental Delay (GDD). Support will be delivered both within the classroom and in a specialist SEND provision room.
- A nursery-aged child who is currently on the ASD assessment pathway and presents with significant additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet each child’s individual learning and developmental needs
- Assist with engagement in both classroom and provision-based activities
- Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Deliver personal care support with dignity and sensitivity
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEND professionals
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach
- Confidence in supporting children with complex needs
- Willingness to provide personal care
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
