Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Hounslow?

Ortus Recruitment is currently looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a warm and welcoming Primary School in the London Borough of Hounslow. This is a full time, long-term role paying between £75.00 and £90.00 per day on PAYE.

The role will be split between supporting pupils in KS1 classes and within the primary school’s Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) which provides for pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning needs.

The Autism Unit is split between two classrooms of between 6 – 8 children, one catering for KS1 and the other for KS2. This role will be focussed on supporting in the KS1 class, the teachers here have adopted a creative curriculum and encourage a positive attitude to learning.

You will be supporting someone of these pupils as they transition to and from the mainstream classroom and the Recourse Base, helping them to have an inclusive learning experience and supporting them both academically and socially.

With state-of-the-art facilities, this Hounslow based Primary School benefits from a therapy room for Speech and Occupational Therapists to deliver sessions to pupils, they also have a sensory corner to carry out interaction sessions, providing sensory stimulation.

Essential Requirements:

• Confidence and capability to deliver learning Across the KS1 curriculum.
• Experience supporting young people with special needs, specifically Autism (ASD/ASC).
• Strong Academic Background.
• Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a Primary School or other related experience.
• Proactive, reliable and flexible.
