SEN Teaching Assistant – Acton, West London

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time, term-time
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Acton that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

The Role

• Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
• Support learning both inside and outside the classroom
• Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support where required
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Confident working 1:1 with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
