A nurturing primary school in Croydon is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 3 pupil with Autism, helping them access learning in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism, helping them stay engaged in lessons.
• Implement visual timetables and structured learning approaches.
• Support emotional regulation and sensory needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities.
• Encourage positive social interactions and build confidence in communication.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with Autism in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based interventions.
• A patient, calm, and consistent approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
