Ortus Recruitment are liaising with an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding‘ Primary School who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role:

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 child who has autism, offering academic support and promoting positive social and emotional development. The ideal individual will have a firm but fair approach to teaching, be assertive, calm and patient.

• You must have previous experience supporting young people with Autism / ASC
• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Qualification or be degree educated
• You will need to be resilient, patient and adaptable to a dynamic and changing environment
• They expect all staff to contribute and promote a fun, caring, relaxed and safe environment for staff and pupils
• Ideally you will have 3-6 months prior experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant
