SEN Teaching Assistant | Barnet | £400 – £500 Weekly (PAYE)

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Type: Full-time, Long-term, Term-time
Location: Mill Hill, LB of Barnet
Start Date: Immediate Start
To be successful in this role, you should have experience working with children, particularly those with special education needs. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with individuals of all ages. Patience, empathy, and understanding are important qualities when working with individuals on the autism spectrum. Additionally, you should have the ability to adapt and modify activities to meet the unique needs of each individual.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
– Provide support and assistance to individuals with Special Educational Needs, including children with Autism
– Assist in the implementation of educational and behavioural programs for individuals with SEN
– Help create a safe and inclusive environment for all students
– Support students in daily activities, lessons and routines
– Foster social interaction and communication skills development
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent care and support
SEN Teaching Assistant Skill Requirements:
– Experience working with children in a classroom setting
– Knowledge of SEN principles and practices
– Ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals with SEN
– Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with SEN students
– Strong organizational skills to assist in planning and implementing programs
