Ortus Recruitment are looking to recruit a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join and work amongst the Early Years and KS1 teams, working with children with additional needs to raise attainment and support development.

This is a mainstream school, located in the London Borough of Barnet – a dynamic and diverse area with an abundance of shops, cafes, parks and transport links within walking distance of the school.

The school is Ofsted rated ‘good’ and has an inspirational Senior Leadership Team to support and motivate you every step of the way. This is a full time and long term role with the potential for Teacher Training in partnership with the school, if deemed the ideal candidate.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Have experience working with children with additional needs
• Have a compassionate, enthusiastic and patient approach to teaching
• Be dedicated to providing a safe and positive learning environment
• Have a strong academic background – Level 3 qualified or Degree educated
• Confidently work 1:1 with SEN pupils and lead interventions

SEN Teaching Assistant Job Details:

• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time
• Daily rate of £70 – £85 per day
• Located in London Borough of Barnet
• Potential for career progression and teacher training in partnership with the school

Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
