Ortus Recruitment are currently hiring for a SEN Teaching Assistant role to work in a KS1 class at a local school.

The school are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping those that they interact with and help create a positive environment in the class that they work in. There are many duties included in this role including: analysing students to identify those who may have additional needs, supporting children with SEN during lessons on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping the teacher organise lessons for the class and working closely with the school SENCO.

Offering a range of facilities, the successful candidate will be joining a great school graded “outstanding” by Ofsted. The staff and SLT are all very supportive and welcoming. They all strive to ensure the children have the best primary school experience.

Located in Cheam, the school is easily accessible for those who commute via public transport or those who drive. There is a local station and various bus routes.

Role requirements:

• Fully enhanced DBS on the update service
• Can provide two references
• Available for full time, long term work
• Previous experience with children in a work setting
