Ortus Recruitment are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant with experience working with EYFS-KS2, and eager to make a positive impact in children’ education. The school has a friendly environment and promotes hands – on learning, which encourages the students to learn through physical activities, which makes learning more fun. Furthermore the school has an amazing SEN team where the teachers are working together to provide support for children with special educational needs, helping them in their academic studies.

If you apply for this role you will be working 1:1 with students, supporting them with their reading, writing and numeracy skills, but also promoting independence. You will not only be supporting the student’s within the classroom, but at break and lunch as well, ensuring their emotional, physical and social needs are being met. Furthermore, you should have the ability to contribute creative ideas when the teachers are planning lessons, and help them deal with challenging behaviour within the classroom.
