SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – CROYDON

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Contract: Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: £19,000 – £23,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who need additional support to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or other learning difficulties
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO and external professionals to support individual learning plans (EHCPs)
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based preferred)
- A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, caring, and patient approach
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
