The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Working 1:1 or in small groups with SEN pupils, providing individualized support to help them access the curriculum
• Assisting with the development of social, emotional, and communication skills
• Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored interventions for SEN children
• Helping to manage classroom behavior and providing emotional support where needed
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to assessments and reports
• Collaborating with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each pupil

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEN. The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (desirable)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with children
• A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to the varying needs of pupils
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or similar) are desirable but not essential
