SEN Teaching Assistant.
Location – Croydon.
Ortus Recruitment are looking for a Teaching Assistant in a Special Education Needs School. This role is a very exciting opportunity which many aspiring teachers could flourish in. The school is based in the heart of Croydon and has some great transportation links (bus and train). You’ll be working with children who have moderate learning difficulties (MLD) this includes Down’s Syndrome, Autism (ASC/ADC), Global Delay and many more. This means they require additional learning support both inside and outside of the classroom.
You will be tasked with helping out both 1:1 and also doing group activities, you’ll be helping set-up activities for the children and supporting the class teacher with controlling the children and settling them down. The successful candidate will have to be very patient and understanding with the children, they’ll also have to have a good understanding of children with Special Education Needs (SEN).
In this role you will be required to participate in both 1:1 and group activities with the children, this means that you will need to show your social skills to create bonds with the children that you’re working with. This school also has some brilliant resources to help develop your child’s progress, this means that you will have to adapt your teaching skills by providing new and exciting activities for your children. The staff inside this Special Education Needs School (SEN) are very friendly and approachable and are excited about bringing another member of staff into their already great team.

Job Details.
This is a full-time, long term role within the Croydon area. With plenty of opportunity of becoming permanent if all goes well. This role is brilliant for any aspiring teachers who have an interest in helping out children who have Special Education Needs (SEN).
Schedule/Information.
Monday-Friday, no weekends.
8:30am – 4:00pm.
£80-£95 per day, paid weekly. (PAYEE)
