SEN Teaching Assistant.
Location – Croydon.
Ortus recruitment are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work inside a Special Education Needs School (SEN). This role is a brilliant opportunity for anyone who is looking to develop their skills in a different type of environment. You will need to have a understanding of children with Learning Difficulties to achieve in this role, making sure that you’re able to react to certain scenarios. The successful candidate will be a passionate induvial who wants to make a serious difference to the children’s lives. In this role you’ll develop bonds with the children you’re working with, this will feel very achieving as you develop into the role as you will start to notice the children see you as part of their daily curriculum.
The school is a highly reputable SEN school with experienced staff who are ready to accept a new member of staff onto their team. This role will help you develop your social skills as you may be working with children who are non-verbal, you’ll need to find new inventive ways to interact with them. The children inside this school suffer from Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) this means that you’ll be working with children who have Down’s Syndrome, Global Delay, Autism (ASC/ADC), ADHD and many others. This school has a great amount of resources so developing new learning techniques will be vital as you’ll find the children learn in many different ways. When you’re with the children you’ll be teaching them in both 1:1 and group activities.
Job Details/Schedule.
Monday-Friday, no weekends.
Working hours: 8:30am-4:00pm.
£80-£95 per day, paid weekly.
Dedicated specialist consultant, with local knowledge.
Age range – 4-11 years old.
