ORTUS RECRUITMENT are liaising with our client mainstream Primary School in the London Borough of Enfield EN3 who are looking for a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

About the Role:

You must have excellent interpersonal skills, a calm and patient manner, and the ability to work in a team. You will be working with the class teacher to support students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be responsible for providing an inspirational learning environment, monitoring behaviour and helping to build positive relationships between pupils and staff.

The school is located in the heart of Enfield – an area known for its culture, diversity and vibrancy. There are many transportation links as it is just a 5-minute walk away from Enfield Lock station!

This is an amazing opportunity to be at the fore-front of children’s learning and development while being consistently aided and encouraged by the Senior Leadership Team and fellow staff members, with the potential to progress on to a Teacher Training programme if deemed an ideal candidate.

**Candidates must be able to commit to a long-term and full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm)**

Requirements:

• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
• Have experience working with children with SEN
• Have a strong academic background – Level 3 qualified or Degree educated
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
