Ortus Recruitment is now seeking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partnered mainstream primary schools based in the London Borough of Lambeth. Our partnered school has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report, and they now have a 1:1 position available for a committed and caring Teaching Assistant that would go above and beyond to support their Key Child. The school has very supportive senior team that is willing to support you with what you need to get the optimal results; this is an amazing steppingstone to get into a professional environment and is gratifying role.

The role will mainly involve helping with preparation of the classroom and supporting your key child with whatever obstacle they are facing when it comes to their education. The perfect candidate would be a perfect role model, possessing qualities such as being patient, caring, creative and nurturing; having previous experience dealing with challenging behaviour/SEN would be preferred.

Essential Requirements:

• Confidence and capability to deliver learning Across the KS1/KS2 curriculum.
• Experience supporting young people with special needs, specifically Autism (ASD/ASC).
• Strong Academic Background.
• Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a Primary School or other related experience.
• Proactive, reliable, and flexible.
