Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, ensuring they receive the attention they require.
• Promote an inclusive and welcoming learning environment.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Help manage and maintain classroom resources and materials.
• Monitor and report on students’ progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with the school’s SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is preferred but not essential.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and empathy when working with students.
• Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies for supporting them.
• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) is a plus.
• DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
