Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join one our mainstream primary schools located in the London Borough of Kingston, Hampton.

The Job Summary:

• £80-£95 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Immediate start, ongoing throughout the academic year

The successful candidate will be working alongside the class teacher in a year 4 class but supporting a learner with autism on a 1:1 basis both within the class and in small spaces such a the library. You will need to liaise with the class teacher to prepare work that suits the individual learners needs and work to raise their academic attainment levels.

Must have:

• An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• A minimum grade C in GCESE English and Maths

Requirements:

• Prior experience supporting children in a school based setting, SEN experience is desirable but isn’t essential
• Relevant qualifications in education or special education is desirable but isn’t essential
• Knowledge of various special educational needs and effective strategies to support diverse learning styles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to easily build a positive rapport with both staff and students
