KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant

£70 – £90 per day PAYE (depending on experience, training, or qualifications)

Ortus Recruitment are searching for a Primary Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work within a fantastic school in Merton. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable and experienced working with SEN students across the primary age range.

Requirements:

· Experience working with SEN/Mainstream schools

· Previous experience working with SEND students

· Experience/knowledge with the following would be ideal but not essential; ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour

· Ability to work 1:1 with students but also able to support students in small groups

· Passionate about education and working with young people

You must:

· Hold right to work in the UK

· Hold a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service – if you do not possess a current DBS you will have to apply (we can help guide you through the process if necessary)

· Provide recent and relevant references

· Be available to work full-time

· Clear written and spoken communicator
