Ortus Recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join an amazing team in a mainstream primary school within the Kingston borough. This is a full time – long term role, from 8:30am-4pm, with an hour lunch, therefore if you apply for this role you will need this availability.

The role :

• Position : SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location : Kingston
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• £80-£90 per day

Within this role you will be responsible for working 1:1 with students, supporting them with numeracy and literacy skills, help them maintain calm behaviour within the classroom and ensuring their emotional, social, and physical needs are met. You will also be required to build a close relationship with the teachers so you can give feedback on the students progression and highlight the areas they need to improve on.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with children, specifically primary school ages, in a professional setting. You will also need the ability to be sensitive towards the children’s needs and patience throughout the day seen as children with SEN may take longer to understand the lesson.
