KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant | Wandsworth | Full Time | Immediate Start | £80 – £90 PAYE

Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will work closely with children with special educational needs, supporting their learning and development in a variety of settings. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs while developing your skills as a teaching assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with children with special educational needs to provide support and assistance
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons and activities
• Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide one-to-one and small group support as needed
• Assist with the assessment of student progress
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and other professionals

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs
• Understanding of the SEND code of practice and current educational policies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
