A two-form entry Primary School in Merton are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team and closely support a pupil with low functioning Autism. Mirroring the school’s values into the tailored approach to supporting this child will prove to be greatly receptive.
The Learning Support Assistant will be working with small groups and in a 1:1 capacity with a child in KS2 to facilitate an engaging environment, encourage positive behaviour and build independence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistantt who:

• Has a strong understanding of SEN; specifically, in non-verbal ASD and challenging behaviour
• Experience (preferable) utilising PECS and Makaton
• Confident working with SEN
• Has experience in a similar role or TA position
• Holds valid DBS/Police Checks
