SEN Teaching Assistant – Moderate Learning Difficulties (Year 4)

Location: Norbury, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: Immediate Start

An inclusive primary school in Norbury is looking for a reliable and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). You will help the pupil access learning through differentiated materials and scaffolded support.

The Role:

• Provide individual support to a Year 4 pupil with MLD
• Help implement strategies from the pupil’s Individual Education Plan (IEP)
• Assist with literacy and numeracy, breaking down tasks into manageable steps
• Encourage independence and confidence in learning
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to monitor progress

About You:

• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties
• Knowledge of adapted teaching methods and differentiation
• Supportive, patient and encouraging nature
• Good communication and record-keeping skills
