A specialist SEN school in Thornton Heath is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with MLD, helping them to develop confidence and independence in their learning.

The Role:

You will assist pupils with MLD, providing targeted support to help them overcome learning barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning and build key skills.
• Support pupils with literacy, numeracy, and communication development.
• Adapt lesson materials to meet individual learning needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement EHCP targets.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with MLD or SEN needs is desirable.
• Patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning support.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
