Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Do you have the skills and commitment to make a positive impact on students’ educational journeys? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Hounslow.

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with primary-aged students with various SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and emotional and behavioural challenges. You will support the class teacher in delivering tailored interventions and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, adapting lessons and resources to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies, working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Support students with social and emotional development, using positive reinforcement and structured approaches.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Monitor and record student progress, contributing to assessments and communicating effectively with teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.

About You:
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and proactive individual who is dedicated to supporting students with SEN. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
  • A good understanding of SEN and strategies to support students’ individual needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic educational environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, or childcare are desirable.
  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly valued.
