Are you a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive primary school in Croydon.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays. Your role will be instrumental in helping pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
• Support children’s emotional regulation and personal development.
• Keep accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
• A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with young learners.
• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) is desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
