SEN Teaching Assistant – PRU Support
Location: Thornton Heath, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

A specialist PRU in Thornton Heath is looking for a resilient and engaging Teaching Assistant to support KS3 students who have been excluded from mainstream education. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young people who need additional guidance and structure.
The Role:
You will support students with a range of needs, including SEMH difficulties, ADHD, and behaviour challenges, helping them develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement.
- Support learning in core subjects, adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Act as a mentor, offering emotional and social support.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to track progress.
About You:
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs or behaviour challenges is desirable.
- Strong communication and resilience in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to build trust and motivate students.
- A proactive and patient approach to working with young people.
