Ortus Recruitment are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in the Richmond borough and they are searching for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role. This role would be ideal for a recent graduate who is now ready to gain experience in a teaching.

Responsibilities:

• Follow health and safety guidelines to help keep the children safe
• Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment
• Support pupils in emotional and social well – being, reporting problems to the teacher
• Use teaching and learning objectives to plan, evaluate and adjust lesson plans to meet the pupils specific needs

Skills:

• Sensitivity and understanding towards the children needs
• Creativity – To help plan engaging lessons
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organisation skills – to ensure a tidy classroom for the children to learn in
• Good understanding of SEN and the primary curriculum
