SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support Y6
Location: Coulsdon, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

An inclusive primary school in Coulsdon is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The focus will be on helping the pupil with emotional regulation and preparing for transition to secondary school.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one support for a Year 6 pupil with SEMH needs
- Support the pupil’s emotional regulation throughout the school day
- Use strategies like emotion coaching and positive behaviour support
- Help with classroom participation and academic engagement
- Work closely with the SENCO and pastoral team
About You:
- Strong experience supporting children with SEMH or emotional needs
- Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships quickly
- Confident using behaviour management techniques
