An inclusive primary school in Coulsdon is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The focus will be on helping the pupil with emotional regulation and preparing for transition to secondary school.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one support for a Year 6 pupil with SEMH needs
• Support the pupil’s emotional regulation throughout the school day
• Use strategies like emotion coaching and positive behaviour support
• Help with classroom participation and academic engagement
• Work closely with the SENCO and pastoral team

About You:

• Strong experience supporting children with SEMH or emotional needs
• Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Ability to build trust and positive relationships quickly
• Confident using behaviour management techniques
