Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You will provide tailored support, assist with individualised learning programs, and help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them to engage with their learning and build confidence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised strategies.
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom environment.
- Adapt learning materials and resources to suit the needs of students, ensuring they can access the curriculum.
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers, parents, and the SENCO.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic development.
About You:
We are looking for a patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic individual who is committed to supporting students with SEN. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
- A good understanding of a range of special educational needs and appropriate strategies to support them.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive approach to supporting students and a willingness to adapt to changing needs.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring all students have equal opportunities to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, or childcare are desirable.
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly valued.
