Ortus Recruitment are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a school in South Norwood, supporting a child on a 1:1 basis in their year two class. This pupil has an EHCP and needs extra support with their learning. Your role will involve taking them out of the class to work 1:1 in addition to working closely with them in the mainstream classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of the primary age range and with children with SEN, with a caring and enthusiastic approach.

Person specification:

– Experience in a classroom setting

– Hold a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new application

– SEN experience

– Degree educated

– Clear written and spoken communicator

– Patient and understanding

– Dedicated to a long-term role
