SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely school in Sutton. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to support the education and well-being of children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting teachers in the classroom and providing one-on-one support to students with special needs
- Supporting the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring progress
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive support for students
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Supporting with the administrative work and communication with parents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children with special needs, including experience with specific conditions such as autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Team player and a positive attitude
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly in Word and Excel
