Ortus Recruitment are pleased to be working with an amazing mainstream primary school located in Teddington and they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time – log term role. The ideal candidate should have more than a years’ experience working with children in a professional setting, specifically SEN children.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with SENCO and teachers to create personalised support for students with SEN
• Promoting nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Providing one-to-one or small group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom
• Working closely with parents, carers and teachers when necessary

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following attributes and qualification:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service
• Patience, empathy and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the students
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
• A strong passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping students overcome challenges.
