Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Support: Provide one-on-one or group support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.

Assistance: Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons, ensuring they are inclusive and engaging for all students.

Individualized Care: Build positive relationships with students, understanding their unique needs and adapting your support accordingly.

Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour management strategies to create a safe and productive learning environment.

Progress Tracking: Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with the teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).

Inclusion: Promote inclusion and diversity within the classroom, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Personal Development: Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN students, is highly desirable.

A passion for working with children and a commitment to their individual development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

A positive and proactive attitude.

Willingness to undergo a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
