Ortus Recruitment are working with an amazing mainstream primary school located in Wimbledon and they are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role. The ideal candidate should have experience working with SEN and able to work with EYFS-KS2.

Within this role you will be working in the autism base of the school working alongside the class teacher, supporting children who have diagnosis of autism. You will be responsible for helping the children with personal care such a going toilet, cleaning after them and feeding. You need to ensure you are following health and safety guidelines to make sure the children are safe at all times.

Requirements:

• A fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• You need to be able to start immediately and commit to full time, long term work
• You need to be able to easily build a positive rapport with both pupils and staff
• You need to be confident and able to support learners 1:1 and in small groups
• You must be able to think quick on your feet and be able to adapt to stressful situations
• You need to be passionate about working with children and dedicated to aiding their academic and behavioural development
