Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location – Southwark
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-16:30
We have a very exciting Special Needs Teaching Assistant role opportunity that would suit anyone that is passionate about working in education. If you are also interested in supporting SEN children, mainly those with Autism, Speech and Language needs then this role will be well suited to you. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support 1:1 with an Autistic child in a Year 5 class. The senior leadership at the school are supporting and friendly, and have worked to build a welcoming atmosphere where learner and staff feel enabled to grow and develop.
This role is for someone that wants to achieve their potential and further strive their career in teaching/education. In this role you will be require to work with children of all primary school ages. This role will be suited to someone who is caring, kind and wants to really make a difference in helping children with special needs/learning difficulties.
Responsibilities:
- The Special Needs TA hired for this role must maintain high quality of teaching to ensure pupils are given the best chance to achieve targets.
- This school needs a Special Needs TA who is excited to motivate and engage students, and who thrives on the challenge of working in a demanding, yet rewarding environment.
- The Special Needs TA chosen for this role will be responsible for working with a range of abilities and be comfortable catering to the broad needs of their students.
